Anger Management & Understanding Your Emotions

Do you feel as though you can’t experience Joy, even when life appears to be good?

Do you have difficulty controlling your Anger?

How is your relationship with your Anger?

Do you feel as though your Emotions are running your life?

Do you have a hard time allowing yourself to experience Sadness?

These are just some of the curiosities that may have sparked you landing on this page. Men’s relationship with their Emotional Experience is one that is often swept under the rug. Whether it’s from your upbringing environment not accepting your emotional experiences causing you to bottle them up or from traumatic experiences that have caused you to not trust how your emotional experience would be expressed if you let it out.

Understanding your Emotions and what they are trying to tell you allows your to be more aware of what you’re able to do for yourself in those moments. Oftentimes with Anger, it’s related to feeling some sort of threat (whether physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually). Learning to understand what the Anger is trying to tell you rather than let it run the show will put you back in the drivers seat of your life. Improving your relationship to yourself and to those who are in your life where your current relationship to Anger may be impacting them, and yourself.

We as Men, don’t often get modelled in our childhood how to be with our Emotions. They are not something we can control to the sense that they will rise up on their own, and from our conscious awareness we are able to do experience them and take the reigns of control.
